A sign at the entrance and exit at Bowling Green Junior High School tells parents to avoid turning left onto Campbell Lane. Bowling Green Independent School Assistant Superintendent Joe Tinisi says the decision to put the sign was made because of safety concerns.
Some parents say it takes too long to wait in line and to turn around after turning right. Many cars do not even follow the sign's order, turning left onto the busy road anyway.
Tinisi says the school district has no real way to enforce the rule. He also says that the road department told him that a light on the road is out of the question because of timing issues with the other lights.
