Members of the Ku Klux Klan Chapter out of Louisville held a rally at the Justice Center this weekend. Bowling Green Community Members organized a Unity Day in response. Hundreds took part in a Unity Day at Bowling Green Girls Inc. building.
The day was designed to celebrate diversity and counteract the Klan's message. Leaders started planning the day when the heard of the rally. Area residents in attendance enjoyed eating at a cookout, discussing issues at diversity forums, and listening to local bands.
A little less than 15 Klan members conducted the rally. Area law enforcement monitored the area closely.
