A children’s roller coaster at the Kentucky State Fair is back open after a child suffered a cut hand.
State Agriculture Department spokesman Bill Clary said the girl was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital for treatment of what was termed a serious injury.
The ride is called The Dragon Wagon and is a small coaster with four turns, has seat belts and a bar for riders to grab onto.
Clary said it did not appear the girl was holding onto the bar when she was injured the night of Aug. 18, 2007. He said the coaster was shut down after the incident, but reopened after modifications were made.
