L & N Depot Gets An Upgrade

An area landmark gets an educational upgrade.

The L & N Depot opens a cultural lesson on wheels for area residents.

The new railroad museum comes to life with a number of personal items and historic mementos donated by the community.

Additions to the museum include a gift shop and an exhibit featuring how railroads played an important role in our history.

If you missed the Aug. 30 free preview, you're still in luck.

There's one more chance on Sept. 1, starting at 9 a.m.

The museum will be open for regular business on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Adult admission will be $10 and $5 for children under 12.

Closed on Mondays, but the museum will be open Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
