Today was a good day for Corvette as it became the official State car of Kentucky.
Governor Steve Beshear signed the bill into law at the General Motors Plant and explained how important this bill is to Kentuckians.
He says doing this was a no brainer.
He says Kentucky is the only state to have an official State car.
And he said the Corvette is the ultimate icon car.
"You know it's an icon, it's known all over the world and the amazing thing for us is everyone of them is made right here in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We want to brag about that, we want people to know it. And I think us declaring it's the State's official sports car is going to help even more all over the world," said Gov. Beshear.
One of Kentucky's State Representatives mentioned it would be even better to go a step higher and make Corvette the national car of the country.
