Disney Will Test Its Toys for Lead Paint

The Walt Disney Company has decided to act on its own to make sure its toys are safe.

Disney officials say they'll begin independently testing toys that feature Disney characters produced by Mattel and other toy makers.

The move comes on the heels of three high-profile recalls by Mattel involving millions of Chinese-made toys tainted with lead paint.

Tests will begin within the next two weeks and include more than
65,000 children's products made by more than 2,000 manufacturers, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Shame on you Disney for even outsourcing these jobs to China & depriving people in America of jobs desperately needed. It's time to send Corporate America a message that we will no longer tolerate this cheap made junk with some of it lethal coming from Chinese sweatshops. The tainted pet food crisis should have been more than a wake-up call. Maybe it's time for a boycott of Disney and other companies.
