The Scottsville community came out today for the grand opening of the new Allen County Community Action Center.

The heat wouldn't keep the young and old alike from coming out for the ribbon-cutting ceremony!

The center includes play rooms for children and lots of different services for senior citizens.

And that makes one Scottsville resident excited.

"Lots of different things we can do, pool games, exercise...lots of great stuff," said Scottsville resident Sam Hurt.

The center also includes a computer lab where people of all ages can receive basic computer training and career services.

Community Action Executive Director Cheryl Allen calls it a place where the vulnerable become valuable.
