Tax Evasion Sends Man to Prison

The man who owned the house where Russell Sublett held police at bay for three days in 2004 is sentenced for tax evasion.

David Stewart was sentenced on Sept. 13 to one-year and one day in prison.

Earlier this year, Stewart pleaded guilty to four counts of tax evasion from 1999 through 2002.

The justice department says Stewart failed to report more than $640,000 in income, with a tax obligation of $169,000.
