There are only a few days left until the big drawing for the St. Jude Dream Home and tickets are selling fast. There are fewer than 500 tickets left for the home, which is in Olde Stone subdivision in Bowling Green.
When you first walk into the St. Jude Dream Home you walk into two rooms, a front living room and a formal dining room, which has a different look than the other rooms in the home.
"You see more of the painting type techniques and those type of things which in the rest of the house it's more of just a plain flat paint," said Doug Martens, of Doug Martens Construction.
"In the kitchen we have stainless steel appliances. All the countertops are granite. All the cabinets are custom wood cabinets and they actually have a crinkle wood finish which gives a kind of feel of leather. It's neat. It's the first time we tried this finish," said Martens.
With a fireplace and a view of the 18th hole at Olde Stone's golf course, the keeping room in the home is intended to be the gathering room. The room leads to a breezeway, the back patio, and a two car garage.
"The master suite has hardwood floors. It also has its own private fireplace so its nice for just relaxing," said Martens.
The master bedroom comes with his and her closets and an area for a washer and dryer.
Upstairs, there are three more bedrooms in the Dream Home.
"Each bedroom has it's own bath and then in the back is a laundry room, which is a full laundry room with a separate sink and hanging area," said Martens.
These bedrooms are slightly smaller than the master suite.
"They are all about 12 by 14 which the master suite is 15 by 18.
Which brings the dream home to a total of....
"Four bedrooms, four baths, living room, keeping room, formal dining room, breezeway, 3 fireplaces, 2 car garage, back porch... it's all there".
The giveaway for the St. Jude Dream Home begins Sept. 16 at noon on WBKO.
