Nice September temperatures made it a perfect time to get out and about, and that's exactly what the people of Franklin did.
Antique cars swamped their downtown on Sept. 15 for the 45th annual Southern Kentucky Antique Car Show.
The twelve-hour event required much of downtown Main St. to be blocked off to make way for hundreds of antique cars and an even larger number of car lovers.
The attendance to the event was helped out with the car show being combined with Franklin's "Festival on the Square" event.
"Our goal was 5,000 to 7,000 people. We think we're on the upper side of 7,000 people. The final count on cars is 215 cars," assured Steve Thurmond, with the Chamber of Commerce.
The event also included more than 60 vendors selling arts and crafts.
