ATV Collision Leads to Arrest in Hart County

HART COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- On Friday, June 7 Kentucky State Police Post 3 responded to the intersection of Angus Road and Rube Smith Road in Hart County in reference to an ATV collision.

According to troopers, Leslie Horton, 33, of Horse Cave was traveling east on Angus Road on an Artic Cat ATV when he failed to stop at the intersection at Rube Smith Road.

They say Horton crossed over Rube Smith Road and traveled down a steep embankment, through a fence, and into a field.

KSP says the investigation of the collision revealed that Horton was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision and was a contributing factor.

Horton was arrested and charged with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under The Influence Of Alcohol/Drugs/ETC.08(Aggrivating Circumstances) 2nd Offense, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Operating ATV On Roadway, and Operating ATV W/O Headgear 16 or > Public Property.

Horton was taken to the Hart County Jail.
