LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- University of Kentucky Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration Eric Monday issued a message through UK public relations Saturday morning regarding the ongoing payroll issues for many employees.
In the message he states that nearly 70% of all employees impacted by the issue are expected to have their pay posted to their financial institutions by noon Saturday.
They will plan to have their call center open on Monday, March 3rd from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. pending weather issues. The number for the call center is 859-257-9254
Pre-paid card distribution centers are expected to be open on Monday again from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to help handle emergency assistance needs for employees. If you are unsure of which distribution center to visit the call center can direct you to the appropriate location. They ask that you have your UK ID or photo ID with you.
UK also continues to state that they will ensure any overdrafts, non-sufficient charges and late fees resulting from the payroll issues will be covered. They will have details available Monday on how they plan to handle these cases.

In the message he states that PNC Bank will continue to let UK staff and student employees impacted by this issue cash a personal check of up to $200. The transaction will require a UK ID and photo ID at any of the PNC locations in Central and Southeastern Kentucky branch locations.
UK officials say PNC Bank, which handles the posting of payroll for the university, had an error on its end Friday morning when posting the payroll files.
UK officials say PNC has apologized for the problem, and PNC is working to fix the issues.
Friday is a regular payday for some University of Kentucky employees, but so far they have not received their checks.
UK leaders tell us they have every available member of their finance, administration, and technology teams working to fix the issue.
We're told more than 16,000 employees have potentially been impacted.
