PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT/AP) -- The identity of a south-central Kentucky man whose body was found in Lake Cumberland has been released.

The Pulaski County coroner's office told the Lexington Herald-Leader the man was 32-year-old Justin D. Shelton of Burnside. An autopsy was performed Monday, but officials were awaiting results before releasing a cause of death.

The body was found in the water Sunday morning. David Muse of the coroner's office said initial indications suggest that Shelton's death was accidental.

The case remains under investigation by the Pulaski County sheriff and the Kentucky Water Patrol.

Officials in Pulaski County say they've recovered the body of a yet unidentified man found in Lake Cumberland Sunday afternoon.

The Pulaski County Coroner says a fisherman discovered the man's body in the lake around 1 p.m. Sunday.

The coroner believes the man is in his late 20's or early 30's.

It's early in this investigation but the coroner believes the man fell into
the lake and his death is probably an accident.

The identity of the man hasn't been released because an autopsy needs to be performed to figure out who he is, where he is from, and how he died.

"It's just one of those things where you just be blessed for everyday you have you never know when something might happen," Ty Furlong, a shuttle driver, says.

The body is on it's way to Frankfort for an autopsy. No word yet on when the autopsy will be complete.
