The Bowling Green man who had a criminal complaint filed against him for allegedly shipping pieces of firearms oversees is now behind bars.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Bowling Green man who had a criminal complaint filed against him for allegedly shipping pieces of firearms overseas is now behind bars.

Adam Bunger, 33, made his first court appearance on Tuesday, and is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail.

According to the criminal complaint filed against him last week, he committed federal offenses when he allegedly disassembled firearms, stripped them of their serial numbers, hid them in electronic consoles, and shipped them to Australia, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

According to court documents, Bunger was assigned a public defender on Tuesday. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 20 in Bowling Green.
