BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- On Wednesday night, a Bowling Green man received a big honor few can claim.
Don Vitale, the president of Manchester Capital and a longtime volunteer with WKU and the Gordon Ford College of Business, was presented with the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion for Entrepreneurship Award.
It happened at a banquet at the Augenstein Alumni Center this evening.
"They focus on the entreprenural activity, the degree of risk, the success, the opportunity for the entrepreneur to continue to be successful," said James Viehland, the executive director of Beta Gamma Sigma.
"I was very surprised and delighted to hear that I actually had been honored with the award this year. It's indeed quite and award that I will, of course, treasure, and I'm quite humbled to receive it," said Don Vitale.
He is one of just three people across the globe to receive the award this year.
