Bowling Green Man Shot & Killed in Monroe County

TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. -- Kentucky State Police Post 15 says it received a call from the Monroe County Sheriff on Thursday at approximately 08:43 AM in reference to a deceased male that had been located inside his residence on Galilee Road, 10 miles west of Tompkinsville.

Upon arrival, troopers say they determined the victim, Terry Alexander, age 33, of Bowling Green, had been shot multiple times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County Coroner.

Troopers say further investigation revealed Demarcus Hamilton, age 32, of Tompkinsville, had shot Alexander.

Hamilton was located and arrested in Cookeville, Tennessee and charged with murder.
