Bowling Green Hot Rods Participate in Day of Caring

The Bowling Green Hot Rods also had a hand in United Way's Day of Caring.

A few players spent some time at Wee Care Nursery reading and playing baseball ball with the kids.

Catcher for the Hot Rods Luke Bailey says participating in such events helps them to remember where they come from.

"It's just seeing what this game is all about, laughing, having fun with them. It brings us back to reality that we make this game harder than what it really is. It's just a game we played when we were a little kid, so it was really fun," said Luke Bailey.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods will sponsor the live United Night at the Ballpark on August fourth when they host the Fort Wayne Tincaps.
