Earthquake warning sirens blared all over Bowling Green, but it was all a drill.
"At this time, I need all students to drop, cover, and hold on. All students need to drop, cover, and hold on," said a staff member over the PA system at Henry Moss Middle School.
Students there were "shaking it out" and scrambling to safety, as part of the Great Central U-S Shake Out Tuesday.
The students dropped to the floor, hid under their tables, and covered their heads, all the while, holding on.
The drill is designed to educate everyone about how to protect themselves during an earthquake.
Students like the idea of the drills.
"I think it's good, so we know what we are supposed to do in case of an earthquake, because we really don't have that many earthquake drills," says Christian Barlow, a 7th grader.
"When the real thing is coming, you should do it and protect yourself," added Oomai Shar, Barlow's classmate.
At least two-million people across nine states took part in Tuesday's shakeout.
