It's National Burger Month, and tonight at Smokey Bones restaurant in Bowling Green, members of the Bowling Green Jaycees participated in Bowling Green's third annual Burger Battle.

Two teams of six competed in a timed burger-eating relay contest to benefit local charities of the team's choice.

"One member of the team starts out with the first burger, and as you finish that burger, the next member of the teams starts with the next burger, and it goes on down the line until all six members have eaten their burger. The team that completes the challenge first wins the whole competition," said Bowling Green Warren County Jaycees President Denny Montgomery.

The winners of tonight's competition, the American Cancer Society, will go on to compete in the national burger battle. For the rest of the month, Smokey Bones will offer three new signature burgers.
