Cargo Ship Responsible for Bridge Collapse Back in Action

The cargo ship responsible for tearing off a huge span of the Eggner's Ferry Bridge in Western Kentucky is back in action tonight.

The Delta Mariner has resumed its voyage to Cape Canaveral, Florida.

A spokeswoman says it left the ship-yard in Paducah Friday evening, where it had been since the 15th.

The ship hit the bridge January 26th, collapsing a 322 foot section, halting travel in the area.
