At least five businesses on Scottsville Road had the "funny money."

Bowling Green Police say just before 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, they received a call of a counterfeit $100 bill being passed at Shoe Sensation. Employees told police a black woman gave them a $100 bill that turned out to be fake.

Employees of Hobby Lobby told police they also had taken a fake $100 bill. Both stores said they tested the money and it appeared okay, until they examined the bills closer.

Police then received complaints from other businesses that they had been given fake bills as well. At least five businesses on Scottsville Road had the "funny money."

The black woman is described as heavy set, about 5'5" tall, with tattoos on her chest.
