If found guilty, the death penalty could be the fate of a man accused of murdering a pregnant woman in Allen County.
The Allen County Circuit Clerk's Office says a notice of intent has been filed by the Allen County Commonwealth Attorney to seek the death penalty against 34-year-old Charles Copass.
Copass is accused of murdering 22-year-old Chelsey Mahaney in June.
Mahaney's body was found stabbed several times in Copass' home.
Copass is charged with murder, fetal homicide, robbery, tampering with evidence, and theft.
In an interview with WBKO in July, Mahaney's grandmother said she doesn't want Copass to get the death penalty, but instead life in prison.
