LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Some members of Kentucky's biggest school district met with members of the state's biggest church to discuss bringing Christian morals and values to Jefferson County Public Schools.

WLKY-TV reports the Thursday meeting was the kickoff event for Louisville Area Christian Educator Support.

It included a discussion of religious freedom in public schools, with advice on what teachers are and are not allowed to do.

Group director Roger Dillion told the audience teachers are allowed to give children a short description of their religious faith if asked.

Elementary school teacher Kay Jacobs said teachers may not be able to pray with students but they can still let them know about right and wrong.
