FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — A group that pushed for Frankfort's anti-discrimination ordinance is hosting a celebration in the capital city.
The Frankfort Fairness event will be celebrated Tuesday at the Ward Oates Amphitheater on Main Street in Frankfort.
The ordinance grants equal-rights protections in employment, housing and public accommodations for gay, lesbian and transgendered residents. The event will feature free food and live music beginning at 6 p.m.
The Kentucky cities of Covington, Lexington, Louisville, and Vicco have passed similar ordinances.
