Bowling Green firefighters were called to the scene as flames erupted and smoke poured out of one of the hangars Saturday morning.
They say a battery charger was connected to a van inside the hangar when the flames sparked.
They quickly knocked down the fire that destroyed the van.
The Airport's Manager says part of the hangar and about 10 airplanes sustained some smoke damage.
However, he's glad it wasn't worse.
"It's very scary because immediately, you're thinking about the personal property of the people who rent these particular t-hangars from you and then, you're also thinking about what's inside of the those hangars, it's very dangerous for the Bowling Green Fire Department because each one of these airplanes are loaded with fuel typically," says Robert Barnett, the Airport Manager at Bowling Green Warren County Regional Airport.
Fire crews are still trying to figure out the exact cause of the fire.
No one was hurt.
