LEBANON, Ind. (AP) -- Jurors have ended their first full day of deliberations in the third murder trial of a onetime Indiana state trooper charged with fatally shooting his wife and two young children 13 years ago.

The jury of eight women and four men broke off their deliberations Wednesday evening after spending most of a day weighing the fate of David Camm in the 2000 slayings of his 35-year-old wife, Kim, and their children, 7-year-old Brad and 5-year-old Jill.

The jury received the case Tuesday afternoon.

The trial is being held in Boone County northwest of Indiana because of pretrial publicity in southern Indiana, where the Camms lived in the Louisville, Ky., suburb of Georgetown.

LEBANON, Ind. (AP) -- Jurors are in their first full day of deliberations following the third trial of a onetime Indiana state trooper on charges he fatally shot his wife and two young children 13 years ago.

The jurors returned to the Boone County courthouse Wednesday morning, the day after prosecutors and defense attorneys gave their closing arguments on the case against David Camm.

Relatives of both Camm and his slain wife Kim say they're expecting justice will prevail on their side.

Donald Camm says he hopes the jury will allow his brother to go free with an acquittal.

Frank Renn said he remained convinced of his former son-in-law's guilt after the trial's eight weeks of testimony.

Camm's two previous convictions in the killings were thrown out on appeal.
