It's been five months since an Edmonson County man was brutally beaten inside his home on Ray Vincent Rd.

The family of Jeremy Priddy is speaking out, and is begging for answers.

"Our son would have been 29 years old today. Five months ago he was the happiest person ever. We had just come home from a family cruise that we had never been on. And now, our son is gone, and we want justice for our child," says Jeremy Priddy's mother, Vonnie Priddy.

On Oct. 9, 2012, family members say the body of Jeremy Priddy was found bleeding and beaten on his living room floor.

Priddy's family, who also lives on Ray Vincent Rd, all worked that day and came home to a quiet street.

"We were all home and the next thing we know is somebody comes in and tells us something is wrong, and we came to the house and he's gone," Vonnie says.

Family members say Priddy's girlfriend McKayla Knight, who lived with him at the time, walked into the house with her daughter and found him lying lifeless on the floor.

She says she was with her daughter at gymnastics at the time of the murder.

"He normally got home at 5:30. He was found between 7:20 and 7:30 somewhere in that neighborhood. We don't know what happened between that time," says Donnie Priddy, Jeremy's uncle.

A neighbor who lives in the house behind Priddy's told police he was sitting on his front porch between 4:30 and 7:30 and did not see anything suspicious.

"We want the killer, whoever is responsible for the death of our child, to be brought to justice," Vonnie says.

"People feel like these cases are going to be solved overnight, and many times it takes weeks, months and even years, but do know our detectives check on these cases frequently," says Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer Tpr. Jonathan Biven.

KSP is continuing to investigate this murder.
