Farmers Say Sizable Pumpkins Expected This Year

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) - Our cool and wet summer was not good for many outdoor plans, but it was a benefit to many fall crops.

Jackson's Orchard is known for their peaches and apples, which are larger and juicer this year because of this summer's weather. As the season changes to fall, pumpkins are beginning to make their way out.

As the orchard prepares, they say customers should find some sizable pumpkins because of great growing weather.

"It was wonderful. We had cool weather, plenty of rain and just enough sunshine to really make a good growing season," says Jonathan Price of Jackson's Orchard.

Fall products are rolling out at Jackson's in the coming weeks before their annual Pumpkin Fest.

This year's festival starts September 28th and 29th and every weekend in October.
