Friends and family are confirming the death of Warren County's former County Attorney, Mike Caudill.

Caudill served as the Warren County Attorney for 25 years before resigning in 2004.

He pleaded guilty to stealing $15,000 in federal funds back in 2005.

The former County Attorney was in very poor health when he was sentenced in 2005, including having open heart surgery to repair a hole in his heart.

Caudill has since apologized for stealing the money.

The cause of his death is unknown at this time.

Friends and former colleagues close to Caudill say they're sorry for the family's loss.
