Some girls in South Central Kentucky got to dress up and show off their smiles on stage at a beauty pageant.
Children of all ages and adults competed in the the Nolin Summer Splash Festival held at a community center in Brownsville.
Some of the contestants won sashes and trophies in all kinds of categories including best dressed and best smile.
Part of the pageant's proceeds go toward the American Cancer Society.
One young contestant was competing again for the first time in two years.
"I love just dressing up and just prancing around our house and all that so it's just fun to me," says 10-year-old Lilly Shipley.
"That's the main thing, that we can do something that benefits the American Cancer Society, the girls, whenever they compete, they have so much fun," says Pageant Director Terrica Ashley.
Some of Sunday's top contestants in the different divisions will go on to compete in the State Festivals Pageant, which will take place in Lexington in November.
