Glasgow Celebrates Veterans Day

Updated: Mon 4:55 AM, Nov 12, 2012

Those who served also celebrated Veterans Day in Glasgow Sunday.

Several hundred community members attended the annual Veterans Day Parade to pay their respect to those who have served for our country.

One veteran says it's important to recognize veterans this day because those who have been through war are the ultimate reason for our freedom.

"They're putting their service before self, and many have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom," says Bill Cross, an Air Force veteran.

"We have to fight for our freedom everyday of our life," says Charles Logsdon, a veteran from the Vietnam War.

Veterans from wars in Vietnam, Iraq and several other wars attended today's events in Glasgow.
