Governor Steve Beshear was in Bowling Green today to announce new jobs coming to our area.
The Governor along with city and county officials welcomed Davert USA Inc to the Bowling Green area.
Davert will open up with 25 new jobs in the first year, and has the potential to grow after that.
Davert officials say they make manufacturing parts for automobiles.
The company is a Canada based company, but the owner, Bob Collier, chose to expand right here in Bowling Green, a sentiment explained by one of his employees.
"Beyond all the technical and logistical aspects of my decisions, there is something special about the people here, I really like them, it just seems like the perfect fit," said Christina Beliles, Executive Administrator Davert.
The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce says this is the 8th economic development announcement in 2012 with an investment of more than 33.5 million and 267 total announced jobs.
