The Barren-Hart-Metcalfe ASAP (Agency for Substance Abuse Policy) Coalition donated a $500 mini-grant to fund the purchase of some much needed items for the Glasgow Police Department's K-9 unit.
That unit is headed by Sgt. Michael Burton and his partner Cain.
A first aid kit was purchased for Cain to allow quick and on the spot treatment should he be injured.
An e-collar was also bought for Cain to go up to 3/4 of a mile on his own during a search.
Flags were also purchased to help set up perimeters.
