BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Gas stations near I-65 in Bowling Green were full of holiday travelers Saturday.

It's one of the busiest travel times of the year, but drivers we spoke with Saturday afternoon say they hadn't run into many problems on the roads as far as accidents go.

However, the weather had slowed them down at some points, and one man traveling from Texas to Ohio says he's expecting even worse weather as he continues north.

"It was really bad in the beginning of Tennessee over by the Arkansas border. There was major storms there, but it's been pretty good here. Ohio's always interesting. You get a little ice thrown into the mix and it's a whole different story, so we'll see," said Zach Bright.

AAA says more than 90,000,000 people will travel at least 50 miles during the year-end travel season, which it says starts today and goes through January first.

It says the expected amount of travelers is the highest on record for this season.
