LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A Jefferson County elementary school teacher has pleaded not guilty to raping a minor and is also facing a rape charge in Nelson County.
The Courier-Journal reports 55-year-old Scott Quisenberry of Louisville pleaded not guilty Monday in Jefferson County to second- and third-degree rape.
Court documents indicate Quisenberry is charged with third-degree rape in Nelson County.
His attorney, Anne McAfee, verbally requested a lower bond, but the judge said a written request was necessary and set a hearing for Sept. 3.
Jefferson County schools said Quisenberry has been placed on non-instructional administrative leave pending outcome of the charges.
He is a second-grade teacher at Kerrick Elementary School and previously spent five years as a science teacher in Bullitt County. The Jefferson County charges allege incidents from 2009 through 2012.

55-year-old Scott Quisenberry stands accused of having sex with a minor from 2009 through 2012.
Quisenberry now works at Kerrick Elementary in Louisville. Before that he spent about five years as a science teacher at Bullitt Lick Middle School in Bullitt County.
Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney spokesman Leland Hulbert says the alleged victim was a student where Quisenberry was employed as a teacher.
Quisenberry's bond has been set at $10,000.
