Judge to Decide on Constitutionality of State's Entertainment Permit

Is Kentucky's entertainment permit statute constitutional?

A Logan Circuit Court judge will soon make that decision.

Arguments over whether a bar in Logan County should be allowed to offer pole dancing were heard Monday.

County officials denied an entertainment permit to owner Sheila Haley.

Haley wants to offer paid pole dancing at the Tenn-Tucky State Line Bar.

Reports say Haley's attorney says the statute is unconstitutional because there is no standard.

It will also be determined whether county officials denied the entertainment permit on the right grounds.

The judge is expected to rule on the statute by early next year.
