"I tried to write a book that would be inspirational. I tried to write a book that might give people some insight into my life and realize my life is not that much different than theirs. I was born deaf on one side, without a right ear, I had a fairly unsupported childhood and thought fame would make me whole. I went after it and was successful, which was terrific. But, I also found out that it changed nothing," said Paul Stanley, KISS.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- The original “Starchild” made an appearance in Bowling Green today.

Paul Stanley, an original member of the 1970's rock and roll band “KISS”, visited the Warren County Public Library's Bob Kirby branch this evening. Fans started lining up early this morning and doors opened up at 4 o'clock for fans to purchase Stanley's personal memoir, Face the Music: A Life Exposed.

Barnes and Noble sold well over five-hundred books for Stanley to sign.

Our Kayla Vanover caught up with Paul Stanley right before his signing began. We learned why he chose to write his personal story for the world.
