KKK Painted on Stop Signs in Eastern KY

Police in eastern Kentucky say they are investigating after the same graffiti — the letters KKK — showed up on all the stop signs in one Bell County neighborhood.

Police Chief Charles Matthews told WYMT-TV that officers are searching for the people responsible. He says KKK is usually associated with the Ku Klux Klan, but police aren't sure whether that group is responsible. He says it could just be vandals.

Matthews says the stop signs will be replaced. He says new signs have already been ordered, but it takes a while for them to come in, especially during the holidays.

Matthews says the graffiti began showing up about two weeks ago, but there's been no other problems.
