Connecticut (AP)-- A Kennedy cousin is out on bail tonight, after spending more than 11 years behind bars.
Michael Skakel is now hoping for a new trial, after being released by a Connecticut judge on $1.2 million bail.
The 53-year-old nephew of Ethel Kennedy has been serving 20-years-to-life in prison for the 1975 murder of his teen-age neighbor, Martha Moxley.
Just last month, a judge overturned Skakel's conviction, ruling that his former attorney, Mickey Sherman, did not provide a "constitutionally adequate defense", and that the failures were "significant".
Skakel says he is eager to reunite with his family.
