Kentuckians Head to the Polls

After a draining campaign season, Kentucky voters are heading to the polls to make their selections for president, congressmen, state lawmakers and more.

Kentucky now has more than three million registered voters and more than 60 percent of them are expected to cast ballots.

Voter interest is high despite the fact that neither Democratic President Barack Obama nor Republican Mitt Romney campaigned in Kentucky.

President Obama yielded the state to Romney after a poor showing in the Democratic primary. Some 42 percent of Kentucky Democrats marked their ballots "uncommitted" even though President Obama was the only name on the ballot.
