FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- The Kentucky Vietnam Veteran's Memorial is commemorating its 25th anniversary with a ceremony on Veteran's Day.
Gov. Steve Beshear, state Auditor Adam Edelen, Deputy Adjutant General Lonnie Culver and memorial board Chairman Mac Barr were slated for the program at 11 a.m. EST Monday.
The memorial is located on Vernon Cooper Drive in Frankfort.
The memorial's website describes its plaza as containing the names of the 1,103 people from Kentucky who died in the war. The memorial is a sundial, and the names are located so the pointer touches each name on the anniversary of the veteran's death.
