Kids across Warren County are jumping for a heart felt cause.

Students at Bristow Elementary showed off their skills while participating in "Jump Rope for Heart."

The cause not only raises money for the American Heart Association, but also teaches kids about heart disease.

Bristow has raised close to four thousand dollars alone.

The school's P.E. teacher and students are happy to participate.

"It does raise the awareness of heart disease, and since obesity is on the rise in the United States, it's very important to make sure that we are teaching our kids about heart disease and stroke, and things like that," says Amy Oliver, a P.E. Teacher at Bristow Elementary.

"I've had a lot of people in my family who have had strokes and stuff, and it makes me think of them and that they're getting help," added Kelsey Sparks, a fourth grader at Bristow Elementary.

Warren County officials say if you would like to donate to the cause, you can contact your local schools.
