Butler County Woman Gets May Trial Date In Husband's Death

MORGANTOWN, Ky. (AP) -- A Butler County woman has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of her husband, and has been set for trial in May.

Butler County Commonwealth's Attorney Tim Coleman says 48-year-old Kathy Boord of Morgantown, is scheduled to face a jury on May 7, on charges of murder, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of marijuana.

Boord is accused of shooting her husband, 47-year-old Judson Scott Boord, on the morning of June 24, in a garage on their property near the Logan County line.

Judson Boord, who was shot once in the back. He died four days later.

Boord's attorney, Stewart Wheeler of Russellville, says Boord remains "extremely distraught" over her husband's death, and that the two had a loving relationship.
