The Save Our Kids Coalition of Bowling Green has purchased a "Drug Terminator", which will provide Kentucky State Police with a way to dispose of the prescription medication they receive from a very successful program.
The Drug Take-Back Program is a partnership between the Warren County Drug Task Force and Kentucky State Police Post 3 and other law enforcement agencies.
The program allows those with prescription medication to drop-off what is not being used at specified locations throughout Warren County.
Public Affairs Officer Trooper Jonathan Biven says the Drug Terminator provides them with a way to dispose of the drugs on site.
Save our Kids received a grant to cover the $4,000 cost of the Drug Terminator.
We'll have more from this story tonight at 5 and 6.
