Local Radio DJ Prepares For Annual Fundraiser

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Summer is quickly coming to an end for some as kids head back to school in just a few weeks.

The 8th annual SAM 100.7 Stuff the Bus hopes every student starts school with the right supplies. To help, anyone can drop off donations between Thursday and Monday morning at Bluegrass Cellular on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green.

The fundraiser continues to grow every year and Tony Rose is hoping to stuff multiple buses.

"It's amazing. This is truly a community event. Stuff the Bus has turned into something more than a radio promotion or TV promotion it is truly Southern Kentucky's way of helping kids and families in need and this community we band together," says Rose.

Donations can range from anything to the basic pencils and paper, to even clothing.

All the school supplies collected this weekend stay in the South Central Kentucky region.
