A local church held a large book sale Saturday and it was all for a good cause.

The First Church of the Nazarene in Bowling Green was selling nearly a thousand books for a dollar until 8 p.m. Saturday.

Proceeds from the sales are going toward Hotel Inc.

The Christian non-profit organization provides people going through tough times with food, clothing, and other basic needs.

"At Hotel Inc., we always have the extra need for money. At this time, charity contributions are down so anytime we get to have extra contributions, we appreciate it," says Ron Raby, the treasurer for Hotel Inc.

"We saw an opportunity to maybe raise for them. We understand that the money they use to help with utilities and rent and to take care of clients is low this year," says Ruth Morgan, the Assistant Pastor at First Church of the Nazarene in Bowling Green.

This was the first time the church held a book sale to benefit Hotel Inc., but they hope to continue helping the organization.
