BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Apple released a set of new iPhones Friday -- 5S and 5C.
"I've been reading every review and I've been watching and waiting. I actually told the family last night that I was coming out this morning about five to get it, and they just laughed and said you were crazy, you're not going to get one anyway, but I actually had ticket number two," said Jason Dishon.
Some customers had old, cracked phones.
"That's why I'm very interested to change it. This is still working, but I need a new one," said Isabel Bustos, as she looked at the cracks covering her iPhone.
Some had newer phones and didn't really need the upgrade.
"I had an iPhone 5, so it wasn't a big upgrade for me; but I had to have it anyway," said Noble Rippy.
Everyone was ready for the new features.
"Finger scanner -- being able to get the security upgrade. And I'm just a die-hard Apple fan. I upgrade every time it comes out," Dishon said.
He got his phone at Best Buy Mobile in the Greenwood Mall.
"The lines weren't bad at all. There wasn't but about 10 or 15 people in line there."
But customers at AT&T had a different experience.
"It was very busy. It was a long line going around the corner of Panera Bread, but it was around 80 or 90 people waiting for the store to open," Bustos said.
She didn't want to be late for work, so she went back this afternoon. By then, it was too late for her to get the phone she wanted.
"They say it will take like a month or 20 business days to get it, so I think it's better for me just going to the website from the Apple store and get it from there."
Dishon said Best Buy had very little in supply.
"They really didn't get the shipment they were expecting. They were hoping to get more phones than what they actually got. My figures may not be exact, but I think they told me they got like a total of ten."
He was wanting a phone with more storage, but didn't want to wait for another to be ordered.
