EDMONTON, Ky. (AP) -- A southern Kentucky man has died after being crushed by a log that rolled off the top of a pile on the back of a tractor-trailer.
Metcalfe County Coroner Larry Wilson says 50-year-old Johnnie Dubree of Summer Shade died Thursday morning at James Ritter Lumber Company in Summer Shade.
Wilson says Dubree was unstrapping a tractor-trailer load of logs when one of the top logs rolled off and hit him.
Dubree was alone when the incident happened. Wilson says nearby co-workers saw him lying on the ground and went to check on him when they discovered he had died.
