VERSAILLES, Ky. (AP) -- A Louisville man has been charged with manslaughter and drunken driving in a crash that claimed the life of a 5-year-old boy.

Versailles police say 26-year-old Alfonso Diaz-Diaz was westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 60 Sunday night just west of Versailles when his car crashed head-on into an eastbound car.

The Lexington Herald-Leader said the boy who died, Blake Cohorn of Lexington, was a passenger in the eastbound car. That vehicle was driven by the boy's father, 26-year-old Rocky Cohorn, who is in critical condition at University of Kentucky Hospital. The child's mother, uncle and two younger siblings were also in the car and taken to hospitals.

Diaz-Diaz, who was in fair condition Monday at UK Hospital, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, first-degree wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, no operator's license and five counts of first-degree assault.
