LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A Louisville man who was born without eyes and the ability to straighten his arms and legs is the subject of an upcoming movie.

Despite his physical challenges, 25-year-old Patrick Henry Hughes is an author, a virtuoso pianist, vocalist and trumpet player, and participated in the University of Louisville marching band for five seasons.

He has also starred on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and chatted up talk show hosts Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

Tupelo, Miss.-based American Family Studios is making the film, called "I Am Potential." It is scheduled for a limited release early next year.

The movie is based on Hughes' motivational book of the same name that he co-wrote in 2009.
